Today, the High Commissioner, H.E. Amb. Isaac Njenga presented credentials to H.E. Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan, President of the Republic of Seychelles in a colourful ceremony that took place at State House, Victoria, Mahè in Seychelles.
As Kenya’s first High Commissioner to Seychelles, Amb. Njenga’s accreditation is expected to enhance the excellent relations between the two countries.
In the bilateral meeting that took place after the ceremony, H.E. President Wavel Ramkalawan welcomed the accreditation of Amb. Njenga, noting that his representation to Seychelles would be highly significant in boosting the existing cooperation between Kenya and Seychelles and propelling the relations to a new level.
Amb. Njenga was optimistic that his accreditation to Seychelles would yield significant progress in the implementation of the existing bilateral frameworks and boost cooperation in the various sectors such as agriculture, tourism and the blue economy.
As part of his official engagements in MahΓ©, Seychelles, the High Commissioner H.E. Amb. Isaac Njenga met with the Kenyan Diaspora living in Seychelles.
The High Commissioner reiterated the Government of Kenya’s deliberate efforts to recognize and give prominence to diaspora issues and urged the diaspora in Seychelles to be good brand ambassadors for Kenya.
The Diaspora congratulated the High Commissioner on his accrediation to Seychelles and hoped that the renewed cooperation between Seychelles and Kenya would yield benefits for the diaspora
