The High Commissioner H.E. Amb. Isaac Njenga and the Mission Staff had the privilege to welcome Ms. Roseline Njogu, Principal Secretary, State Department for Diaspora Affairs, on 27th April 2024, at the Kenya High Commission Dar es salaam.
At the Chancery, the Principal Secretary met with the leadership of the Kenya Diaspora in Tanzania (KEDIT) for a lively engagement on the State Department’s interventions to protect the Diaspora, follow-up mechanisms to address the challenges, and strategies to enhance collaboration with the Diaspora in Tanzania.
Ms. Njogu implored on the Diaspora to invest back home, establish trade routes, enhance knowledge transfer and be door openers for Kenyans to find jobs abroad.
Ms. Njogu was in Dar es salaam, as the leader of the Kenyan Delegation, to attend the 14th meeting of the EAC Sectoral Council on Foreign Policy Coordination-Principal/Permanent Secretaries session, that was also attended by Mr. Abdi Dubat, Principal Secretary, State Department for EAC Affairs, H.E. Amb. Isaac Njenga and other members of the Kenyan delegation.
